Back in November 2007, Cascade organised an all day dance-a-thon in Tunbridge Wells town centre to raise money for Children In Need. Cascade teamed up with London’s C-12 Dance Theatre director Nasae Evanson to perform a new work. Cascade were also invited to attend the BBC Children In Need showcase in Northfleet, where the company were broadcasted live to Kent and Sussex.
The event was supported by Kaos Mobile Disco, Currys, Snappy Snaps and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.
Children In Need 2008
The Cascade dancers returned with a non stop fundraising dance-a-thon in Tunbridge Wells in Oct 2008. The Cascade Youth Company performed their first new piece, a 70’s inspired dance, along with the Cascade Performance Company. The event was supported by Snappy Snaps and received coverage by the Kent and Sussex courier.
All money raised was donated to Children In Need.
