Samantha is one of the founding members of Cascade Dance and acts as choreographer and performer within the company.

Samantha, 23, trained at various dance establishments throughout the South East before graduating from Middlesex University in 2006 with a BA (Hons) in Dance Performance.  Throughout her training she covered a wide range of styles including classical, modern and contemporary techniques with an extensive range of experience within the performing and dramatic Arts. Although her passion lays within contemporary dance other elements of performance such as physical theatre, drama, singing and fine art contribute to her inspiration.

Although Samantha performs regularly with Cascade, she also choreographs for the company, creating work with narrative and imagination. 

In her spare time Samantha works as a freelance dance teacher, performer and part time model in London and the South East.

Ricia Coleman

Ricia Coleman
Artistic Director

Ricia Coleman is also a founding member of Cascade Dance and holds the position of director, choreographer and performer.

Ricia trained in contemporary dance at Middlesex University and gained a BA (Hons) in Dance Studies.  Having studied musical theatre, ISTD tap and ballet for many years, along with modern & Cecchetti ballet, Ricia has gained vast experience in both the performing and teaching world. She currently teaches dance for one of the UK’s leading performing arts companies whilst choreographing for Cascade’s forthcoming productions.

In addition to her responsibilities at Cascade, Ricia teaches classes throughout the South East. She is a qualified YMCA Aerobic and Ballet fitness instructor and is also a level 3 Pole Dancer / Teacher.

Our Dancers

The Cascade Dance Company consists of a team of local dancers who are all at varying levels of training and professionalism. They each possess individual styles and unique qualities as performers.

Cascade aim to give our dance artists the chance to extend their creativity and talent through a range of performance, community and educational work in the South East. We are always looking out for new talent; please contact us if you would like to be involved with us!

Melanie Ward
Melanie Ward, 22, graduated from Bretton Hall (University of Leeds) in 2006 with a first class BA Honours degree in Dance. Since graduating she has worked with Cascade in a range of projects whilst supporting Cascqade in their classes and performances.  Melanie is a qualified dance teacher at St Georges Church of England School in Gravesend and also artistic director of Wasted Grace Dance Theatre, Kent.  

Pip Daffurn
Pip, 19, is a valuable member of Cascade Dance and has worked alongside Ricia and Samantha in a range of performance, educational and community projects. As well as performing with Cascade, Pip has worked with a range of artistic companies and has toured with Samba groups across the South East.  She is currently studying Display Design at The London College of fashion.

Hollie Page
Hollie, 18, is cascade’s youngest member! Currently in her second year at West Kent College, Hollie regularly gets involves with Cascade and is a very committed individual!  She is flexible in range of styles including contemporary, Jazz, Street and Hip Hop.
