About
Cascade Dance is a contemporary dance company based in the leafy suburbs of Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
Cascade provide dance activities for children, young people and adults in the South East, offering a variety of events and performances that are accessible to everyone.
Although primarily a contemporary company, Cascade also offers a range of dance styles through their classes, workshops and performances including ballet, jazz, physical theatre, street and hiphop.
The Cascade Dance Performance Company, consisting of local dancers, regularly perform throughout the year, premiering site specific and theatre works around the South East. Please visit the production page for forthcoming events on the company.
History
Cascade Dance was founded in December 2006 by Middlesex university graduates Ricia Coleman and Samantha Stringell.
Discovering a lack of contemporary dance culture within Tunbridge Wells they decided to create a company that would reflect its growing success in places like London and Brighton. Their experience and knowledge throughout years of dance education and training has given them a platform from which to launch Cascade Dance with an innovative and creative approach.
Since starting out Cascade has been involved in various educational and performance projects including a range of site specific events in West Kent. Cascade has also set up a variety of dancing activities to allow dance to be accessible for everyone. Cascade wish to continue their growing success in 2009.
